The senses:

Sight 👀:

The Iris control the size and the ammount of the eye.

The optic nerve carried the signals to the brain.

Hearing 👂🏼 :

Auditory nerve includes innear ear .

Ossicles includes middle ear .

Eardrum includes outer ear.

Smell 👃🏼:

Enter in the nostrils .

Particles are detected by nerve receptors.

Nerve receptors send signals to the olfatory bulb

 Taste 👅 :

Food touches the tounge

They have receptor cells .

Gustatory nerves carried electrical signals .

Touch 🖐🏼 :

Skin protects the body

Top layer is the epidermis and middle layer dermis .

The nerves send the electrical signals to the brain.

The central nervous system 🧠:

Spinal cord  make up our central nervous systems.

Brain : skull protects the brain and has three main parts :

Cerebrum : is the biggest part of the brain

Cerebellum : Controls movement, balance and coordination

Brain stem: Connect the rest of the body to the spinal cord .

Spinal cord : controls our reflex actions such as blinking .

The peripheral nervous system 🧠:

These nerves are made up of tiny cells called neurons that have dentrites that receive signals and axons that transmit signals.

1 Sensory neurons carry signals from the sense organs to the brain .

2 The brain interprets the information and responds producing signals

3 Motor neurons carry those signals to the locomotor systems .

The eskeleton🦴:

Short bones: Provides stability and support

Flat bones:  Protect our internal organs

Long bones: Are found in legs and arms

Joints:

Fixed joints: Do not move

Semi-fixed joints: Allow some movment

Flexible joints: Allow much more movment

Muscles 🦾:

Skeletal muscles: Are joint to muscles by tendons, are voluntary muscles

Smooth muscles: Are found in organs, are involuntary muscles

Cardiac muscles: Makes the heart move and beat, are involuntary muscles
